Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Credit and Collections Associate at Brewers Supply Group, you will:

• Review customer accounts to identify aged activity and determine necessary collection efforts.
• Conduct outbound collection requests professionally, maintaining positive customer relations and ensuring thorough documentation of account status.
• Keep accurate records of all account activities, including letters, telephone conversations, and payments.
• Monitor customer accounts for credit holds and update credit information as needed.
• Review and update credit limits for all credit customers, seeking approval from the Credit Manager.
• Recover delinquent accounts in adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Resolve client billing issues, including missing invoices, discrepancies, and disputes.
• Prepare detailed reports on delinquent accounts and provide regular updates to leaders on progress and issues.
• Process credit card payments for customer orders as part of collection efforts.
• Handle inbound customer calls and emails related to invoicing, payments, and account activity questions.
• Assist customer service in addressing inquiries from customers with past due accounts.
• Participate in credit decisions for assigned customers.
• Aid in obtaining necessary customer documents for setup and reporting purposes (e.g., Customer applications, Sales Tax Certificates, TTB).
• Collaborate with leadership on escalated collections issues to achieve effective resolution.
• Provide backup and support to other credit and collections staff as required.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support company and operational needs.

Minimum Education & Work Requirements:

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years' experience in Collections or related field.

• Proven ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines and to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills required, and the ability to quickly understand and become proficient in the use of company business systems is essential.
