Senior Oncology Specialist What you will do As the primary customer contact, you will provide clinical knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals and communicate clinical and economic benefits of the products. Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales. Analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory data, and develop territory plans with your District Manager. Maintain passion for the products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and engage in continuous learning. Leverage oncology knowledge, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results. What we expect of you Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field, not sales‑related. Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field, not sales‑related. High school diploma or GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field, not sales‑related. Preferred Qualifications Preferred experience in oncology. Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, and inflammation, and familiarity with related specialties. Local market knowledge. A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; and cultivating internal and external relationships. What you can expect of us The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
