Essential Duties & Functions Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, 990, etc.) Lead tax engagements from start to finish, communicating directly with clients Provide tax projections and proactive planning strategies throughout the year Respond to IRS and state notices on behalf of clients Assist in consulting projects, including business valuations, exit planning, and restructuring Supervise and mentor junior staff accountants, supporting their development Participate in client meetings and contribute to long-term relationship growth Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred (or actively pursuing) 2+ years of experience in public accounting, including tax return preparation and review Solid understanding of tax law, research, and planning for individuals and small businesses Experience preparing financial statements and working in systems like QuickBooks Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Strong Excel skills; experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software is a plus Why Join?
