This is a great opportunity for individuals with basic shop experience looking to grow their skills in machining and production.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily operations in a machine shop environmentSupport machine operators and technicians with setup and material handlingLoad and unload materials from machines and move raw materials and finished partsSupply machinists with tools and materials as neededUse basic tools and equipment such as grindersMeasure materials and parts using a ruler, tape measure, calipers, or gaugesDeburr, grind, and perform basic finishing of partsClean machines, tools, and work areasInspect parts for obvious defects and quality issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all shop safety procedures and guidelinesHelp ensure production goals and deadlines are metQualificationsGeneral machine shop knowledgeUnderstanding of shop safety practicesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredPrevious shop or manufacturing experienceExperience using grindersAbility to read a ruler/tape measure accuratelyAbility to safely handle materials, tools, and finished partsEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
