Client: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) - Genomic Medicine Program
Location: Remote - Telemedicine
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Compensation: $270k-$300k per year
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Clinical Geneticist to provide 100% virtual genetic consultations. The physician will evaluate VETERAN patients, review medical and family histories, order appropriate genetic testing, interpret results, and provide follow-up recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct genetic consultations via telemedicine.
- Evaluate patients across a broad range of genetic indications, including adult general genetics, cancer genetics, and preconception genetics.
- Review medical records and relevant clinical information.
- Order and interpret appropriate genetic testing.
- Communicate test results and recommendations to patients and referring providers.
- Provide follow-up consultations and document all clinical encounters in the EHR.
Patient Volume
- Approximately 10-12 new patient consultations per week
- Approximately 10-12 follow-up appointments per week
Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Genetics/Medical Genetics.
- Current, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license.
- Current BLS certification or equivalent.
- Experience or comfort providing care through telemedicine.
