The position involves providing emergency care at a recently renovated facility with a focus on trauma-capable services and stroke protocols, with flexibility for shifts at both the main hospital and affiliated FSEDs.

• Annual ED volume: approximately 20,000 visits
• Modern ED with 18 beds (expandable during peak times)
• 12-hour shift model, including days, nights, and weekends
• Guaranteed 6–8 shifts per month
• Shifts include 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am blocks
• On-site phlebotomy during surges and emergencies
• Imaging: MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound
• EMR: Meditech P-doc
• Dictation: M-Modal
• Designated as an AHCA Primary Stroke Center

Practice Environment
This facility features a freshly renovated emergency department designed for high-quality care delivery, capable of handling diverse emergencies within a trauma-capable environment. Providers practice within a robust EMR-supported setting, leveraging Meditech P-doc, with advanced imaging modalities readily available. The ED maintains a focus on stroke management with designated protocols, providing physicians with an engaging clinical experience supported by on-site phlebotomy during critical surges.

Schedule & Coverage

• 12-hour shifts, with guaranteed minimum of 6–8 shifts per month
• Coverage every day including weekends and nights
• Shifts may be at the main hospital or affiliated FSEDs
• No specific total assignment length confirmed

Requirements

• Active Florida medical license
• DEA registration for Florida
• ABEM or AOBEM certification required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Relevant clinical certifications
• Minimum 6–8 shifts per month
• Flexibility to work at hospital and FSEDs
• Availability for day, night, and weekend shifts

Preferred / Helpful

• Experience working in a modern ED environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Experience with stroke protocols and imaging technology
