Director of Nursing (DON)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at Defiance Health Care Center in Defiance, OH. As a DON, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assess patients' health needs and develop and implement care plans

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member

• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment

• Document patients' progress and outcomes using electronic medical records

• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in nursing

• Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills

• Assist with hands-on patient care as needed to support team

Requirements:

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
