Temporary Talent Acquisition SpecialistHot JobHeadquarters - Alameda, CA 94501OverviewSalary Range $85,000.00 - $123,000.00 Salary Category Human ResourcesDescriptionThe Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing through offer and onboarding. Partnering closely with hiring managers and the HR team, this role identifies hiring needs, delivers a positive candidate experience, and builds a strong, diverse talent pipeline for current and future openings. As recruitment volume allows, the specialist also supports general HR activities and projects.Manage full-cycle recruitment for open positions and ensure a positive candidate experience.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, direct outreach, networking, and other channels, with a focus on diverse candidate pools.Build relationships with passive candidates and maintain talent pipelines for current and future openings.Screen and interview candidates to assess their qualifications and alignment with position requirements.Provide backup support for scheduling interviews.Lead recruitment check-ins and provide the HR team with daily progress updates.Maintain consistent communication with hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process.Manage reference checks and complete salary history documentation to support offer recommendations.Maintain accurate ATS records, update candidate statuses, and send decline communications.Stay current on recruitment trends and best practices. Recommend process improvements.Support general HR responsibilities as recruitment volume allows.Additional projects and duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Minimum of eight years of full-time, relevant and progressively responsible experience.Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university may be substituted for 4 years of experience. A Master's degree may be substituted for an additional year of experience.Knowledge of:Recruiting and sourcing best practicesUnderstanding of general human resources policies and procedures, including employment laws and regulationsUnderstanding of organizational staffing needs and workforce planningAwareness of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging principles and best practices in recruitment.Knowledge of interview techniques and evaluation methods.Knowledge of labor market trends and talent pools.Cross-cultural sensitivityPrinciples and practices of planning and project managementProficiency with HR and Applicant Tracking Systems (Paycom preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365 preferredAbility to:Build relationships with passive candidatesCreate a positive candidate experienceThrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to staff and candidatesDemonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity in a variety of contextsRead, analyze, and interpret common professional publications, legislative or policy documents, financial reports and related agency documents and informationPlan and project manage work to ensure organizational goals are achievedWork with HR Leadership to develop a wide variety of short- and long-range plans, tracking metricsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with candidates and staff throughout the AgencyFacilitate groups and manage meetings effectivelyAdapt, with minimal or no advance notice, to changes in agency operations and work assignments or proceduresDefine and creatively address problems or management challenges requiring analysis of multiple variables or situations, collect and analyze information, consider alternatives, and draw valid conclusionsPlease note:All First 5 employees must live and work in California.The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $123,000 and as an independent government agency, the posted salary is the set salary range for this position.
