Position Overview Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for a full-time remote position. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient intakes through thorough diagnostic and functional evaluations to inform treatment recommendations for primary care providers. Provide brief, focused interventions for patients facing mental health challenges and develop personalized treatment plans in line with Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines. Collaborate with primary care providers to identify appropriate patients for in-house mental health services and those requiring referrals to specialized facilities. Monitor and follow up with patients to assess their progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to improve outcomes. Develop and implement relapse prevention plans for at-risk patients, promoting stable functioning and preventing crisis situations. Facilitate connections between patients and additional health services, ensuring comprehensive care that addresses their behavioral health needs. Document patient progress and diagnostic information comprehensively, keeping primary care teams informed about patient needs and successful treatment strategies. Provide patient education on self-management techniques and healthy lifestyle choices, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process. Contribute to team discussions regarding outcome evaluations and program improvements in behavioral health services. Assist patients in complying with prescribed medical treatments and managing any side effects to enhance their overall health. Adhere to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals of various ages and backgrounds facing a range of mental health and psychosocial issues. This role emphasizes a community-centered approach, where understanding the specific challenges faced by residents of Laredo and surrounding areas is crucial. The focus is on fostering relationships that allow for effective, culturally competent interventions that drive better health outcomes. Qualifications A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required. Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license is mandatory. Thorough knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, child psychotherapy, family therapy, behavioral therapy, and the DSM-IV diagnoses. Ability to develop strong rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with community resources and their effective utilization to support patient care. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Mental and physical health capacity to fulfill the demands of a counseling role. Preferred Experience Experience working within community health settings, particularly in environments that prioritize integrated care. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred to effectively communicate with the community we serve. Knowledge of modern telehealth practices and technologies. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
