Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel SLP and use your skills where they’re needed most. You’ll help patients improve communication and swallowing disorders while exploring a new part of the country. Minimum Requirements Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program. Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA. Active Hawaii state license in Speech-Language Pathology required by assignment start. Candidate must apply for Hawaii license upon acceptance if not already held. BLS certification from AHA or ARC required. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience. Acute care, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred. Independent, proficient completion of Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) in radiology without supervision required. Experience with Meditech documentation for inpatient care and paper-based outpatient documentation preferred. Assignment Details Facility Type: Hospital (Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care caseload with possible outpatient referrals). Shift Name: Days. Schedule: Generally a set schedule 5 days per week with likely inclusion of 1 weekend day. EMR: Epic implemented as of November 1, 2025. Floating: Candidate may be required to float within facility units as needed. Location Highlights Discover Hilo, HI, with proximity to volcanic landscapes and coastal scenery. The area provides outdoor recreation including hiking on Saddle Road and scenic drives to Akaka Falls State Park about 20 minutes north, rendering a balanced coastal and adventurous lifestyle. Public transit options include Hele-on Bus routes serving Hilo and surrounding communities, and Hilo International Airport is within a short drive for inter-island travel.
