Chemo Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse – FLEX

Key Responsibilities

• Create individualized care plans for patients under direct supervision and care.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related issues in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments, charting patient responses to treatment and medication.
• Teach patients and their families regarding treatment expectations and provide supportive resources to promote a positive outlook.
• Monitor and record patient progress on a continuous basis.
• Participate in cancer research efforts to enhance treatment protocols assigned to oncology patients.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Chemotherapy certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as needed, with potential requests to work additional shifts to accommodate chemotherapy patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in oncology or hematology nursing.
• Experience working in a Medical Surgical unit with oncology patient populations.
