Weekend Shift CNC Machinist

A leading, family-oriented manufacturer of resistance welding consumables with 85 years of success—is seeking a self-driven, team-oriented CNC Lathe Machinist for our state-of-the-art, 50,000 sq/ft climate-controlled facility.

What You'll Do:

• Program & Operate: Complete full setup, programming (using M & G codes), and operation of multi-spindle bar-fed mill-turn CNC lathes.

• Quality & Precision: Perform first-article inspections, document dimensions for ISO standards, and use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

• Maintenance & Safety: Run warm-up programs and perform routine pre-shift machine maintenance to keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You Bring:

• Full proficiency in M & G code programming and complete CNC machine setup.

• shop math, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• A collaborative, can-do attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and safety. This is a weekend only shift, you will train on 1st shift, once you move to the weekend shift you will work 32 hours and be paid for 40. The weekend shift does come with a 25% premium, and also you will be given a retention bonus.

Responsibilities

• Ability to program with M & G codes, fully set up, and operate the CNC machines.
• Ability to produce first article inspection part and document dimensions for ISO.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measurement instruments to ensure parts meets specifications.
• This position requires  shop math skills, good problem-solving skills, the ability for function independently, the ability to lift 50 lbs.
