Travel Occupational Therapist Opportunity in Tavares, FL

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tavares, FL. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility regain or improve daily skills after injury, illness, or with chronic conditions. This role supports interdisciplinary care and rehabilitation in a long-term care setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Florida Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) settings is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic medical records used in post-acute care is preferred.
• Prior experience managing caseloads that include cognitive impairment, post-acute recovery, and adaptive equipment recommendations is preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift days: Monday through Friday.

Provide high-quality occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing environment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Support patient discharge planning through functional training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and caregiver education.
