Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 8–10 hour shifts with call coverage 1–2 days per week and every 3–4 weekends; must be available to extend shift as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and operating room duties as assigned in accordance with established policies and procedures to assist the surgeon and health care team in delivering effective surgical care
• Serve as primary scrub in neurological procedures including craniotomies and spine cases
• Assist with orthopedic, ENT, plastic surgery, general, and trauma cases as assigned
• Utilize orthopedic implant systems including Zimmer, DePuy, Biomet, and Stryker total replacement systems
• Support robotic-assisted surgical procedures as required
• Potential to float to other campus locations within the Fargo area

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Strong Neuro experience with a focus on craniotomies and spine procedures; solid Orthopedic experience required for case versatility
• Experience in a large acute care facility with more than 15 OR suites
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Experience with robotic surgical systems
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Must be listed on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at least one week prior to start date; proof of application initiation required within 3 business days of offer acceptance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ENT and plastic surgery procedures (pediatric and adult)
• Familiarity with high-volume OR environments averaging 75–100 cases per day
• Proficiency with at least one of the following implant systems: Zimmer, DePuy, Biomet, or Stryker
