Key Responsibilities Material Selection: Determine the necessary amounts and types of insulation (e.g., fiberglass, foam, rubber, mineral wool) based on surface shape, location, and equipment use. Measuring & Cutting: Calculate dimensions, read blueprints, and precisely cut insulation materials to fit around valves, elbows, and other obstructions. Application: Wrap, glue, or strap insulation onto heating, cooling, plumbing, and process pipes. Sealing & Protecting: Cover insulation with protective outer layers like canvas, tape, vapor barriers, or sheet metal cladding to guard against physical damage and weather. Maintenance: Inspect existing systems, remove and dispose of damaged insulation, and make necessary repairs. Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict OSHA guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow hazard protocols (e.g., confined space entry, #J-18808-Ljbffr Polis, Inc.
