Job Title: Forklift Operator

Pay Rate: $18.00/HR

Shift: 1st, Monday - Friday (Open to working overtime)

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a cold storage facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating electric forklifts, utilizing racking systems, and performing general labor duties as assigned. The Forklift Operator will also be responsible for conducting equipment inspections and completing required documentation. This position requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a cold environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

● Operate an electric forklift safely and efficiently.

● Operate electric pallet jack

● Load, unload, and stack products using racking systems.

● Complete daily forklift inspection sheets and report any mechanical issues.

● Transport and store materials while maintaining inventory accuracy.

● Follow safety procedures and ensure a clean and organized work environment.

● Perform general labor duties as assigned by management.

● Work in cold storage conditions for extended periods.

● Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications:

● Previous forklift experience required; electric forklift experience required.

● Previous electric pallet jack experience

● Must be comfortable working in a cold storage facility.

● Ability to complete forklift inspections and documentation accurately.

● Familiarity with racking systems and proper material handling techniques.

● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

● Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time throughout the shift.

● Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

● Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

● Comfortable working in a cold environment.

● Manual dexterity and coordination for operating equipment.

● Ability to work in a variety of environments, including areas with varying temperature and noise levels.
