Location: New York, NY Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant will include assisting clients with SEC audit and review preparation.
• Supporting the monthly financial close and assisting with reviewing and implementing accounting procedures.
• Assessing and improving the quality of financial processes and internal controls.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements for both public and private clients, including disclosures for audit, review, and compilation.
• Ensuring the efficiency of engagements while developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Addressing accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Reviewing accounting staff work and providing guidance when needed.Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, CPA or working towards it preferred.
• 3 plus years of public accounting experience.
• Knowledge of SEC accounting with a strong understanding of derivatives and equity valuation is preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
• Ability to respond to accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
