Class A Dump Truck Driver

Class A Dump Truck Driver We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Class A Dump Truck Driver to haul and deliver construction materials such as gravel, asphalt, millings, and fill to and from job sites. This role requires experience operating dump trucks with manual transmissions, safe driving habits, and a strong understanding of job site protocols. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and familiar with construction environments. Key Responsibilities Operate Class A dump trucks (tri-axle, tandem, or tractor-trailer) safely and efficiently Haul and dump materials at construction sites, quarries, and disposal locations Navigate job sites, roadways, and tight areas while maintaining control and awareness Inspect trucks before and after each trip to ensure safe operation (brakes, tires, lights, fluid levels, etc.) Perform proper load securement and ensure loads are within legal weight limits Communicate with dispatchers, foremen, and job site crews to coordinate deliveries Follow DOT regulations and all local traffic laws at all times Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and daily inspection reports Assist with light labor or yard duties when not driving, as needed Keep trucks clean and report any mechanical issues promptly Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience; dump truck experience required Experience with manual transmission preferred Knowledge of load distribution, dump angles, and tipping safety Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with field teams Must be reliable, punctual, and safety‑minded Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Rarely Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: Constantly Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Never Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Constantly Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Constantly Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Occasionally Working Conditions Low temperatures: Occasionally High temperatures: Occasionally Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Occasionally Noisy environments: Occasionally Hazardous conditions: Rarely Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Benefits Pave America and its companies offer a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
