Interior Designer

About the Role: LDDBlueline is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our team! The Interior Designer will participate in conceptual design and provide design and technical support throughout the entire project lifecycle. The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, consultants, directors, and department leadership to develop thoughtful design solutions and successfully execute projects. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of design expertise, technical knowledge, project coordination experience, and the ability to develop and represent a lead technical viewpoint on projects. Essential Duties and Functions: Participate in conceptual design and provide interior design support throughout all phases of a project. Develop interior design concepts and translate design intent into coordinated project documentation. Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and other members of the project team. Coordinate with Senior Project Managers to determine appropriate technical solutions and product strategies. Research, evaluate, select, and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and interior products. Coordinate interior design requirements with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Participate in client, consultant, vendor, and internal project coordination meetings as appropriate. Support projects through construction by coordinating with project and construction teams and assisting with the resolution of design-related matters. Maintain availability and responsiveness through company communication devices and platforms, including Teams, Outlook, and cell phone, to ensure effective coordination and timely resolution of project-related matters. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications: Five or more years of professional interior design experience Strong proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and other software used by the firm Demonstrated experience managing responsibilities across multiple projects Experience coordinating with Senior Project Managers to determine appropriate technical solutions and product strategies Strong understanding of interior design documentation, detailing, materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to complete projects on time with precision and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Initiative and professional drive High ethical standards Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program required Professional licensure or certification is preferred but not required 100% company-paid base plan for medical, dental, and vision, including short and long-term disability Company-paid life insurance Competitive compensation Paid Time Off 401K plan with match Continuing Education support, including monthly lunch and learns Licensure and professional growth support Paid Holidays Hybrid work environment Actual compensation may vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, licensure, etc. LDDBlueline is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
