Forklift OperatorOperates forklift in a safe manner to stack and retrieve supplies and materials while maintaining inventory and ensuring production area organization and cleanlinessPrincipal Responsibilities:Lift, stack, un-stack, and move utilizing safe practices with equipmentMake sure goods are stored in the correct area of a warehouseUnload and load trucks from the warehouseLoad trucks ensuring loads are evenly and securedCompletes and submits Equipment Check List Form before utilizing any company equipmentCompletes and submits written documentation as requiredMaintain sanitation and housekeeping in the work areaAdditional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Must be eligible to work in the United States without a Visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to effectively operate independently with minimal supervisionWilling to work a flexible scheduleAbility to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral instructions or written correspondenceMust be able to work in a cold/hot environmentDetail oriented and accurateAbility to communicate with diverse personalitiesForklift certification. Basic knowledge areas include Safety Procedures; Truck Inspections; Storage and Exchange Points; Counterbalance Effect; Stability Triangle; Center of Gravity; Equipment Terminology; Attachments/Load centers; Battery Inspection; and Material handling including loading and de-stacking, unloading, and stacking of counterbalance, traveling Ramps, Trailers and parking.Knowledge and willingness to perform all responsibilities of each position within the teamPhysical Demands/Work Environment:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The work environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of working around with or around machinery with exposed moving parts, arrant chemicals, heavy equipment, extreme heights, or abusive or hostile clientele and patients. Exposure to disagreeable weather conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and sound is normal. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
