Dishwasher

Dishwashers at Destination GN and The Ridge Hotel Join the fun, fast-paced environment at Destination GN and The Ridge Hotel, located along the shores of Lake Como and three championship golf courses. We offer multiple venues for dishwashers, from Geneva National's Clubhouse restaurant, turf smokehouse, to our five-star Hunt Club Steakhouse, The Ridge Hotel's Italia, and in our banquet kitchens. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level position into a career in Food & Beverage, including prep and line cook. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine. Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand. Remove trash and garbage to dumpster. Set up or break down dishwashing area. Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions. Sweep/mop floors. Sweep up trash around garbage dumpster. Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean. Must notify Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures. Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting and carrying (heavy trays, dish racks, kitchen equipment) Standing for extended periods of time Bending and stooping (reaching low and high to load and unload dishes) Repetitive motions (including scrubbing, rinsing, stacking) Pushing and pulling Gripping and handling (able to handle wet, soapy and potentially hot dishes and utensils safely) Work in a fast-paced environment that may at times be hot/humid
