Job Details Location: Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital - Marysville, WA 98271 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $24.00 - $35.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care Schedule Monday - Friday Responsibilities Maintain a classroom climate that nurtures and supports a positive learning environment. Understand and use the course of study. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies. Respond to student ideas and opinions positively. Show flexibility to student needs. Incorporate problem‑solving techniques into instruction when appropriate. Employ instructional techniques effectively. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, or an appropriate discipline. Experience: One year of related teaching experience with knowledge of various teaching methods. Preferred knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness. Licensure: Certification through the State of Washington. Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion of CPR certification and Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression within 90 days of employment. Flexible hours may be required.
