About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 2 years nursing experience Experience working with trachs Description: Number of beds: 23 step down, 16 med surg. Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 PCTs. Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 PCTs. Patient ratios: 1:3-4 for step down, 1:4-6 for med surg. Type of equipment includes lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, and trachs. EMR system used is Cerner. Typical procedures performed on unit include trach care, chest tubes, and wound dressing changes. Best personality fit includes flexibility and a high level of clinical competence. Floating may occur to other med surg and progressive care units. Dress code: Scrubs - navy blue. Weekends: 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period.
