District Support Pharmacist Full Time

Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) cultivate a culture of excellence within each pharmacy, acting as a role model, supporting scheduling gaps, and overseeing pharmacy operations under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader. Responsibilities Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator, overseeing pharmacy operations and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and directing the team accordingly. Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, coaching the team, and proactively resolving insurance/medication issues. Offer and deliver immunizations, engaging Pharmacy Technicians in immunization training. Manage pharmacy inventory, following best practices and protecting cold‑chain products. Maintain flexibility for scheduling and business needs while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic. Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, and seek opportunities to expand knowledge for patient support. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible. Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. Preferred Qualifications 1–2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Physical Demands Mobility required: remain upright for extended periods, lift and move items up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, use hands and fingers for repetitive tasks, and maintain close visual acuity for reading, typing, and small‑parts inspection. Ability to perform tasks requiring manual manipulation, precision, and repetitive motion. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $60.00 – $76.00 per hour (base rate or salary). The actual offer depends on experience, education, and geography and may include bonus, commission or short‑term incentive programs.
