ACF manages capital raising and strategy for alternatives investments across the full spectrum of alternatives including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, GP stakes, and hedge funds / liquid alternatives. Within ACF, team members work within distinct product verticals and partner with investment teams, CSG, and wealth management, to drive and identify solutions for clients. This specific role sits within ACF’s Co-Investments vertical. The Co-Investment Team within ACF coordinates the syndication of co-investment opportunities to AWM’s key investor base, enabling these clients to invest alongside Goldman Sachs in private investments across all major asset classes. In addition, the Co-Investment Team plays a significant role in the structuring of the firm’s investments, working with the investment deal teams and investor clients, as well as various functional areas within the firm and across AWM (Global Markets and Banking, wealth management, etc.).The work is deal and investor focused, with access to a wide range of businesses, industries, investment structures and investor types. The team follows the full life cycle of the deal execution process – getting involved with deal structuring, investor targeting, marketing of the investment to external clients, book-building and allocation process, negotiation with investors on terms and economics, coordination of funding and closing of the investment, as well as ongoing client updates on investment performance and coordination of investment exits alongside GS.VICE PRESIDENTPrincipal Responsibilities:Lead syndication process for co-investments to investor clients across all alternatives investment strategies (private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainable investing) on a deal by deal basisStructure investment transactions – alongside investment deal teams - to address commercial, legal, accounting, tax and regulatory considerations for investor clients and GSMarket investment opportunities to investor clientsManage preparation of deal-related marketing materials and analysesWork with investment deal teams to respond to deal related questions from investor clientsParticipate in syndication approval and investment allocation processesNegotiate commercial and legal agreements with investor clientsCoordinate with investment deals teams and execution teams to facilitate closing of syndication processTrack co-investment activity by deal and by investor; prepare analyses/updates on co-investor relationships and activity levels for senior AMM and firm leadership7-10 years in a similar or related role, previous experience in investment banking, alternatives investing or fundraising also applicableUnderstanding of financial and credit analysis, valuation and primary fundamental research, and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring is a plusStrong project management skills and ability to lead various constituencies to a common objectiveCandidate must be a team player and self-motivatedSkills & Qualifications: Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks / simultaneous projects and work well in high pressure situations with tight timeframesStrong judgment and problem-solving skillsSalary Range The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
