156 - HGV class 1 Tramper Driver

The Role:

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join an established logistics operation in the Selby area.

The role involves nationwide deliveries, including trunking and multi-drop work, with regular overnight stays during the working week.

You will operate a Class 1 vehicle safely, complete deliveries within schedule, and maintain professional standards when dealing with customers and delivery sites.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday, with up to five nights out per week when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle on nationwide delivery routes.

• Complete trunking and multi-drop work as required.

• Deliver goods accurately and within agreed timeframes.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.

• Follow drivers’ hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations.

• Secure loads correctly before and during each journey.

• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.

• Maintain clear communication with transport planners and customers.

• Follow all site, health, and safety procedures.

• Represent the business professionally at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence.

• Driver CPC qualification.

• Digital tachograph card.

• Previous experience driving articulated vehicles.

• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.

• Willingness to complete up to five nights out per week when required.

• ADR qualification is preferred.

• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Suitable Experience:

This vacancy would suit candidates with previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV C+E Driver , tramper driver, trunking driver, nationwide delivery driver, or multi-drop articulated vehicle driver.

Pay Rates:

• £16.00 - 18.00/h
