Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid DHH Educator certification required
• Previous experience as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing strongly preferred
• Proficient in working with K–12 students and developing/modifying IEPs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff
• Flexibility and adaptability to support student learning needs in a dynamic educational environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted educational instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing on a one-to-one basis
• Deliver services consistent with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
• Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student achievement
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of student learning strategies

Position Details:

• School-based, onsite role near Van Buren, AR
• Contract runs from August 8th through May 13th, covering the academic year
• Part-time hours: 1–1.5 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday
