Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor for its Brentwood, Tennessee facility to prepare, identify, and route biological specimens for testing. The role operates Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11:30pm, and requires high school completion with preferred prior experience in specimen or medical laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to designated staging areas
• Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
• Document and resolve problem specimens; store excess samples properly
• Meet department activity, production goals, and established turn-around times

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ months specimen processing experience (preferred)
• 3+ months medical or laboratory experience (preferred)
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
