Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, with increased responsibility for financial reporting, project accounting, and analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Analysis:Prepare all necessary financial reports, journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basisDaily cash management reports and bank reconciliationsPost adjusting journal entries at month-endPreparation of monthly account and bank reconciliationsCash Management:Deposit cash and scan backupDaily cash management and bank reconciliationsAdditional:Support staff on special projects as neededProvide assistance with interim and year-end auditsQualificationsBS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance3-8 years of experience in accounting of similar for a major company or division of a large corporationExperience in an Architecture/Engineering or Professional Service Company is a plusHave an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Strong computer skills, proficiency with Excel and WordGood written and oral communication skillsDetail-oriented and highly motivated, self-starterSuperior organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skillsPrior experience with Deltek VantagePoint would be a plus
