Clinical - Medical Assistant
All Medical Personnel
Position: Medical Assistant
Job Description:
- Schedule, confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals
- Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
- Greet visitors, assess purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff
- Compile record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
- Some experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Check patients in and out
- Collect co-pays
- A problem-solving mentality for prioritizing tasks and addressing patient issues that may arise
- Excellent customer service skills (receptionist experience highly preferred)
Requirements:
- Must have at least 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience; Front/Back office experience
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate only required if State required
- Active BLS/CPR Card
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Must be ok working in a smoke-free/tobacco-free environment
