RN - Immediate Care

Role Overview: The RN - Immediate Care provides comprehensive patient assessment, develops and evaluates care plans, and ensures effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments, documents health data, and collaborates on care strategies. Provides patient education tailored to cultural and learning needs, supporting disease management and emergency care. Assists technical staff with procedures such as injections and IV management. Participates in performance improvement, research, and professional development activities. Conducts wound/ostomy/skin care rounds if skilled, monitors treatment effectiveness, and supports a compassionate, patient-centered environment. Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, active Illinois RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications. Preferred experience in ICU, ER, radiology, or wound/ostomy nursing, with certifications like CWON or CWCN advantageous. Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills are essential. Key Duties: Develops care plans, evaluates patient progress, educates patients and families, collaborates with healthcare team, and supports evidence-based practices. Maintains HIPAA compliance and provides assistance with patient transport as needed.
