Customer Service Specialist (Accounting Technician II)

Job/Department Summary Under general supervision, this position provides operational and financial support within Student Financial Services, with primary responsibility for student account support, cashiering functions, and passport acceptance services. The position processes and reviews financial transactions, maintains accurate financial records, and provides guidance to students, faculty, staff, and campus departments regarding student financial services processes. This role also serves as a Passport Acceptance Agent, reviewing applications, accepting payments, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of State regulations while safeguarding sensitive personal information. The incumbent must operate with a high degree of accuracy, accountability, and customer service while applying independent judgment and established procedures to support daily financial operations. Agent must be U.S. citizen. Required Education and Experience Equivalent to three years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge and abilities described above. Required Qualifications Due to the passport acceptance responsibilities of this position, applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. non‑citizen nationals in accordance with 22 C.F.R. § 51.22(c)(1).
