QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least one year experience in diesel maintenance and/or repair.
Must possess a valid driver's license

REPORTS TO: Head Mechanic or Superintendent
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year to be established annually by the Board of Education.
COMPENSATION: To be set annually by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent of Schools

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain all district-owned diesel bus fleet and gas vehicles.
- Primary duties include oil changes, replace hydraulic brake systems, remove and replace transmissions, maintain air conditioning systems and major repairs as needed.
- Maintain safety standards in conformance with state and insurance regulations.
- Maintain accurate record of repairs and general maintenance on district-owned vehicles.
- Communicate with Transportation Supervisor, Head Mechanic and drivers regarding vehicle condition and needed repairs.
- To perform any other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.
