TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Med/Surg units, including cardiac, spine, and neuro. License: Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Must have Epic experience. Must have basic arrhythmia experience. Must be willing to float to Neuro and Oncology units. Traveler is required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Provide nursing care to complex and dynamic patient populations. Float across multiple departments and specialties. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care. Utilize critical thinking to assess patients and recognize complications. Administer appropriate nursing interventions. Demonstrate a commitment to patient and family-centered care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, nursing assistants, and medical teams. Hone interpersonal communication skills and delegate tasks effectively. Be expected to float to Neuro and Oncology as required. Management of dysrhythmias and telemetry patients is essential. Experience working in a variety of Med/Surg units is necessary. Strict passing criteria for telemetry exam: Adult Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation and tachycardia. A passing score of 80% or higher is required. Pediatric Exam covers ventricular fibrillation, tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia with a passing score of 80% or higher. If a traveler fails the telemetry test, they will have two opportunities to retake it. If unsuccessful after two attempts, another opportunity is only given with a certified completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before the third attempt. Failure to pass the exam after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
