R&D Chemical Process Engineer

Agilent seeks an R&D Chemical Process Engineer in Wilmington, DE to drive design for manufacturability of liquid chromatography column products. This role coordinates technology transfer from lab to production, ensuring new processes are efficient, scalable, and safe while supporting manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design for manufacturability efforts within R&D team
Coordinate with local manufacturing to expedite technology transfer and scale-up of new products
Work with R&D to develop efficient, robust, scalable, and safe processes
Troubleshoot production methods with manufacturing teams to ensure product quality
Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and conduct technical documentation

Requirements

Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent
3+ years of process optimization, scale-up, and technology deployment experience
Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and software
Hands-on experience in chemical process industry or direct manufacturing
Experience with silica particle synthesis, surface modification, and HPLC column work beneficial
Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities

Compensation: $127,680–$199,500 base per year plus bonus, stock, and benefits
