Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment. The ICU RN will be responsible for managing complex medical conditions, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and utilizing advanced ventilator management techniques.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as an RN, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, with a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Provide patient assessment, monitor cardiac rhythms interpreting Nihon-Kohden monitors, manage ventilators including troubleshooting, and perform titration of drips as required. Collaboration with hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists is essential.
• Additional Information: No administrative or non-clinical duties included. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, with a charge nurse on each shift who may accept patient assignments. No floating or self-scheduling required, dress code is flexible, and orientation duration varies based on experience. The charting system used is MEDITECH.
