PRN Inpatient Occupational Therapist

About this Job MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Inpatient Occupational Therapist to join our team at Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Occupational Therapist with a high level of problem‑solving skills, the ability to work cohesively within a team environment, and excellent verbal and oral communication skills. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to patients, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, re‑assessment and revision, patient and client re‑evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation. Participate in program planning and protocol development and assist the team in meeting established goals. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and the patient’s presentation, and respond to changes in the patient’s condition by modifying the plan of care or seeking medical/rehabilitation consultation. Complete discharge planning, follow‑up care, and accurately document patient care activities, including focused evaluation/plan of care, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation. Demonstrate effective time‑management, meet productivity expectations, and maintain a professional commitment to patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathy. Work flexibly in various settings based on departmental needs and patient volume and pursue professional growth and competency. Serve as a clinical instructor for students, and assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service‑improvement teams, meetings, committees, and community outreach or marketing activities. Contribute to department goals and objectives and comply with governmental and accreditation regulations. Qualifications College degree in Occupational Therapy. Occupational Therapist licensure in Washington, D.C. at the time of hire. CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Salary: USD $60.00 – $60.00 per year. #J-18808-Ljbffr MedStar Health
