Utilities Right of Way Agent - Lynchburg, VA - (1778) Location: Lynchburg, VA (candidate must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Lynchburg, VA). A primary home office is permitted. Schedule: Full‑time, Exempt. Travel: Approximately 50% of the time locally and throughout Virginia. Compensation: $64,400–$85,000 per year. What You’ll Do Acquire Right‑of‑Way rights for projects in accordance with project guidelines and regulations. Support the Project Manager (PM) and project team members. Conduct basic property research for ownership and boundary information. Communicate with property owners and their representatives regarding right‑of‑way acquisition. Perform general administrative tasks. What You’ll Bring Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines. Can prioritize and balance multiple tasks. Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills. Is analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thrives in a fast‑paced administrative setting. Can adapt to new systems and software environments. Minimum of one (1) year of Right‑of‑Way Acquisition experience. Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to access ORC’s systems. Valid Driver’s License. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing are expected. The employee is expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move around inside the office to access files, office equipment, and to interact with other staff members.
