This position works with other environmental services assistants as part of the environmental services team. Responsibilities Position Accountabilities/Duties: * Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping down counters, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, etc. * Take down and rehang drapes and curtains * Move furniture, beds, and set up rooms Development & Education: * Reading, writing and mathematical skills at level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent preferred. Basic UPH Performance Criteria * Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines. * Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare. Qualifications * High School Diploma preferred * Cleaning experience prefered * Communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with others * Organizational skills and ability to handle direction for work and to stay on task
