Role Overview The Surgical Tech is responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready, assisting with patient positioning, and passing instruments during surgeries. They account for instruments and specimens, maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare surgical suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies. Ensure proper functioning of equipment and assist with patient preparation and positioning. Pass instruments to the surgeon and monitor the count of supplies during procedures. Handle and process specimens for laboratory delivery. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma, GED, or military training. State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. At least 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited program. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
