Prior experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center is required. The shift is three days a week, working 12 hours each day. The workdays will vary weekly based on staffing needs. The candidate must be willing to work any assigned night shifts during the contract. On-call duties are required, with a maximum of three call shifts in an eight-week period. The role may involve floating between similar units to meet facility needs. The surgical technologist will assist in various procedures, including general, GU/GYN, neurology, ENT, and plastics. The unit will conduct every type of surgical procedure. A maximum of ten requests for time off will be allowed during the contract period. Time off will not be approved during specific blackout periods outlined in the job description. All candidates must present certifications prior to beginning their assignment. Completion of facility-specific modules will be required within the first week of the assignment. The surgical technologist should monitor and manage their responsibilities diligently. All candidates will be subject to compliance checks regarding prior employment history. Return travelers should note a one-year waiting period for rebooking after completing a full year on assignment. Blocked scheduling requests will not be accommodated.
