Job Title: Welder Technician Job Description

This role is a hands-on Welder Technician position in a job shop environment, focusing on a variety of welding and fabrication projects rather than high-volume production work. You will use multiple welding processes and fabrication techniques to produce quality parts and assemblies according to blueprints and specifications.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding on a variety of materials in a job shop environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Fabricate components and assemblies using cutting, fitting, and welding techniques.
• Use grinding tools to finish welds, smooth surfaces, and prepare materials for further processing.
• Inspect welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a consistent work pace while handling a variety of projects, rather than repetitive high-volume production.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while operating welding and fabrication equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet production schedules.

• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Experience with TIG welding.
• Ability to perform flux-core welding.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Hands-on fabrication experience, including fitting and assembly.
• Skill in grinding and finishing welds and fabricated parts.

The role follows a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CST or 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, providing long weekends and a predictable routine. The facility is climate controlled to maintain a comfortable temperature around 74 degrees in both hot and cold seasons, though it is not air-conditioned in the traditional sense. You work in a job shop setting with welding and fabrication equipment, where practical work attire suitable for welding, fabrication, and grinding is expected, along with appropriate personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jasper, TN.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Jasper,TN.
