Senior Staff Accountant

Position: Senior Staff Accountant Location: Worcester, MA Salary: $80,000–$100,000 Highlights of the Senior Staff Accountant Opportunity: Join a stable and growing organization with a collaborative, team-oriented culture High visibility role with direct exposure to leadership and opportunities for advancement Diverse accounting responsibilities with the ability to make an impact on process improvements Strong benefits package, competitive compensation, and long-term career growth Supportive leadership team that values work-life balance and professional development The Senior Staff Accountant’s Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end and year-end close process Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial records Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation Partner with cross-functional departments to improve accounting processes and maintain strong internal controls Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives, including leveraging Excel and AI tools to increase efficiency Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of general ledger and month-end close Advanced Excel skills required; experience utilizing AI tools to improve productivity is highly preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr
