The successful candidate in this position Will possess key skills and experience which include knowledge of international import transportation, import brokerage procedures, U.S. Customs and Border Protection ("Customs"), and Participating Government Agency ("PGA") requirements including the clearance process, classification and valuation. Required skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task, produce accurate workflow in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure freight forwarding operations environment, and positively contribute to the success of the team. Role responsibilities Manage accounts from A to Z Prepare all documentation necessary to clear merchandise through Customs and any applicable PGA Provide excellent, thorough, and prompt customer service Perform any tasks assigned by the Manager, Supervisor, or Team Lead that meet the needs of the team and department Responsibilities Prepare Arrival Notices and opening files (file set‑up) Input data information obtained from agents and freight forwarders File Customs entries for clearance Work with Customs and other Government agencies to obtain release Customer service Billing of files Involved with ISF filing (import security filing) Bill of lading – provides title of the goods, confirms whether the customer has paid the supplier, indicates value and any extra regulations involved with the cargo File Customs entry to the PGA (Partner Government Agency) and comply with government guidelines for release Works with CBP (Custom Border Protection) Works with quarantine issues Deals with fees and duty taxes File documents to US Customs: commercial packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin; liaise with PGA guidelines to clear goods Sign documents on behalf of clients using power of attorney #J-18808-Ljbffr FreightTAS LLC
