Job Description Quality Coordinator I Department: Quality Assurance Reports To: Quality Manager / Quality Supervisor
Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing production environment and may involve working in and around production machinery.
- Delta Shift: Thursday-Saturday. 7p-730a
- Conduct audits on manufacturing processes, completed firearms, and international shipments to ensure compliance with established standards and work instructions.
- Record variances, follow up on corrective actions, and issue Quality Alerts as needed.
- Participate in daily shift meetings and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Maintain and update departmental quality procedures and visual standards.
- Monitor non-conformance activity and actively assist production teams with problem-solving efforts.
- Investigate quality deviations and support the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Demonstrate commitment to and leadership in environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
- Actively participate in the company's continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through high integrity, safety awareness, fair and equitable treatment, and teamwork.
- Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2+ years of quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment, or a combination of related experience, education, and/or training.
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), metrology equipment, and gaging techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Willingness to work varying shifts as needed to support business requirements.
- Demonstrated alignment with company values.
- Flexibility to be assigned to other departments, functional groups, or shifts as required by management.
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, lights/lasers, and other typical shop conditions.
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by company policy and position requirements.
