Assistant CustodianSouth Range Local School District is seeking an Assistant Custodian. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Custodian to join our team. As an Assistant Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our students, staff, and community.Responsibilities:Maintain clean and orderly classrooms and hallwaysDust mop and mop floors dailyEmpty and replace trash linersClean and sanitize restroomsRespond to radio calls and custodial requestsCoordinate floor scrubbing a minimum of three times per weekEnsure classroom desks and surfaces remain cleanClean and maintain stairwaysRemove dust and debris from around doors, recycling containers, and pencil sharpenersMove wheeled furniture and equipment as needed for thorough cleaningAssist with setup and support for after-school activities and eventsCollaborate with fellow custodians to complete cleaning assignments efficientlyRequirements:Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles preferredKnowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operationAbility to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and time management skillsPhysical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods of timeExcellent communication skills to interact with team members and respond to inquiries or requestsNote: This is a paid position with benefits.
