Senior Cloud Security Engineer

This role involves leading and supporting the implementation of security controls across cloud and hybrid environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities include managing Azure AD/Entra ID, enforcing IAM principles, implementing encryption and DLP, supporting audits, conducting vulnerability assessments, embedding security in CI/CD pipelines, automating security processes, and managing security operations and incident response.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years in cloud or security engineering, strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security, hands-on experience with WAFs, firewalls, IAM, SIEM, DevSecOps, scripting skills, and familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance environments.
The position is full-time, mid-senior level, in the IT industry, based in Houston, TX, with a salary range of $100,000 to $135,000, depending on experience.
