Junior Estimator
Location: Charleston, SC
Launch Your Career in Commercial ConstructionWe're partnering with a well-established commercial construction company that is looking to add a Junior Estimator to its growing team in the Charleston area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the construction industry or take the next step in their career. If you're motivated, eager to learn, and want to work alongside experienced professionals, this company is committed to providing the training and mentorship needed to help you succeed.
What You'll Do- Assist with quantity takeoffs and material estimates
- Review construction drawings and project specifications
- Support the estimating team with bid preparation and proposals
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing
- Help maintain estimating files and project documentation
- Learn industry best practices from experienced estimators
- Grow into managing estimates independently over time
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel experience preferred)
- Construction, engineering, architecture, or estimating education/experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to read construction drawings is a plus
- Eagerness to build a long-term career in commercial construction
- Entry-level position with room for advancement
