Job Description Position Summary: The Landman will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the company’s land assets. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in land acquisition, title examination, lease negotiations, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of land-related matters, and the ability to lead complex land transactions. Key Accountabilities: Negotiate and prepare leases; identify and procure needed surface contracts include easements, ROWs, surface agreements, water agreements, subsurface easements, etc. Manage obligations, payments and expirations for existing agreements, including extensive lease and contract analysis and application Examine, evaluate and cure title requirements Verify ownership, form units or negotiate PSAs where applicable Negotiate and prepare all necessary agreements for joint development Work with cross-functional team to prepare locations for drilling and maintain acreage after production is established (GIS, regulatory, drilling, completions, subsurface, land administration, production, accounting) Support land reporting on ownership position and competitor activity Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders Maintain outside operated wells and interest through ownership research and management of inbound proposals Support lease and asset acquisitions through due diligence and integration Calculate working interest, net revenue interest, overriding royalties, non-executive mineral interests, non-participating royalties and payout reversion interests Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Petroleum Management, Energy Management or Energy Commerce required Experience: 4+ years of experience as an in-house Landman required Texas asset experience required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven ability to manage large amounts of information with accuracy and critical attention to detail Willingness to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance driven, team-oriented environment Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Developed skillset in managing complex title issues and providing solutions Strong understanding of Texas legal and regulatory landscape #J-18808-Ljbffr Caturus
