Memory Care Executive Director - Senior Living

Middlefield Oaks Memory Care, located in Cottage Grove, Oregon, is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to lead our community with integrity, empathy, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a mission‑driven senior living leader who excels in regulatory compliance, team development, and creating a positive, resident‑centered culture.

As the Executive Director, you will oversee daily operations, support department leaders, ensure high‑quality care, and foster a supportive work environment for employees. We are looking for a leader who communicates clearly, builds strong relationships, and leads by example.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the Memory Care community
• Maintain accountability for Fiscal Management, Human Resources, Resident Care & Services, Occupancy Development, Marketing, Community Relations, Life Enrichment, Physical Plant Management, and Regulatory Compliance
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities and communicate professionally with employees, residents, families, and healthcare partners
• Lead and supervise department managers; indirectly supervise all employees to ensure high‑quality care and services
• Support and lead occupancy development efforts
• Maintain excellent resident and family satisfaction
• Coach and support department managers in recruiting, hiring, training, employee engagement, and professional development
• Exercise sound judgment and adhere to all policies, procedures, and state regulations
• Facilitate new hire orientations and monthly staff in‑services
• Ensure residents are treated with privacy, respect, and dignity
• Follow standard precautions and infection control procedures
• Complete all state‑required training upon hire and annually

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold an appropriate professional license for the state of Oregon (NHA, RCF, ALF, BH, etc.), and the license must be in good standing.
• Strong marketing and public relations skills with the ability to represent the community professionally.
• Minimum of two (2) years of prior management experience in a Senior Living, Memory Care, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
• Must obtain valid Continuing Education credits as required by state regulations.
• Must successfully pass a State Criminal Background Check.
